The Legacy

Top Gear Festival Legacy Intiative

2012 saw Top Gear Festival in Durban for the first time as the start of a three year partnership with the Province of Kwa-Zulu Natal and the City of Durban.  Alongside the festival, Top Gear Festival embarked on another journey with the City and in the form of the Legacy Initiative programme.  Our aim is to leave a Legacy through various activities and engage with a wider community. Being a motoring festival the Legacy programme is based around educational and social development in the motoring sphere, in particular the following.

•   Motor mechanic and technology master classes for grade 11 and 12 learners
• Promotional campaign to promote road safety and other appropriate messaging with strategic partners.
•  Inspiring talks and demonstrations

We aim to Educate, Empower, Entertain and Inspire.
